Indian Army SSC Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech degree in the notified engineering streams from a recognized university or institution.
- Final year engineering students are also eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of passing the degree examination by 01 October 2026.
- Engineering degrees obtained from foreign universities are not eligible for this entry.
- Only streams strictly mentioned in the official notification will be accepted.
Nationality
Applicants must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with eligibility certification.
Marital Status
- Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
- Marriage is not permitted during the training period.
Indian Army SSC Age Limit (As on 01 October 2026)
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 27 Years
- Date of Birth Range: Between 01 October 1999 and 30 September 2006 (inclusive)
Age proof will be accepted only as per Matriculation certificate.
Physical Fitness Standards
Candidates must meet the following minimum physical requirements:
- 2.4 Km Run – 10 Minutes 30 Seconds
- Push-Ups – 40
- Pull-Ups – 06
- Sit-Ups – 30
- Squats – 2 sets of 30
- Lunges – 2 sets of 10
- Basic swimming knowledge is mandatory

- Stipend: ₹56,100 per month (Level-10 Pay Matrix)
After Commissioning (Rank-wise Pay)
- Lieutenant: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
- Captain: ₹61,300 – ₹1,93,900
- Major: ₹69,400 – ₹2,07,200
- Lieutenant Colonel and above – As per Defence Pay Matrix

- Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500/month
