Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess qualifications from a recognized institute/university as a regular full-time course. Distance or correspondence qualifications are not eligible.

Trade Apprentice (ITI Based):

• Matriculation with 2-year ITI in relevant trade such as Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, or Machinist.

Technician Apprentice (Diploma):

• 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum required marks.

Graduate Apprentice:

• Full-time graduation in BA, BBA, B.Com, or B.Sc from a recognized university.

Data Entry Operator (Trade Apprentice):

• Class 12th pass (below graduate level).
• Skill Certificate holders must possess a recognized NSQF certificate.

Age Limit (as on 31-12-2025)

• General / EWS: 18 to 24 years
• OBC (NCL): Up to 27 years
• SC / ST: Up to 29 years
• PwBD: Up to 34–39 years (as per category)

Age relaxation is applicable according to Government of India rules.

IOCL Apprentice Stipend / Salary

• Graduate Apprentice:
  ₹4,500/month (BOAT DBT) + balance by IOCL + ₹2,500 miscellaneous expenses
• Technician Apprentice:
  ₹4,000/month (BOAT DBT) + balance by IOCL + ₹2,500 miscellaneous expenses
• Trade Apprentice:
  Stipend as per Apprentices Act + ₹2,500 miscellaneous expenses

The stipend is paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.

Selection Process

The selection process is purely merit-based:
