BMRCL Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a Government-recognised University or Institute in the relevant discipline.

BMRCL Experience Requirements (Post-wise)
General Manager (Signalling / Telecom)
- Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience in Signalling and Telecommunication systems
- Experience in Railways / Metro Rail / PSUs / Organised Services
- At least 5 years of experience in senior administrative or managerial positions
General Manager (Operations)
- Minimum 20 years of experience in Railway or Metro operations, maintenance, or project execution
- At least 5 years of experience in operating Electric Locos, EMU, or Modern Metro Systems
Deputy General Manager (Safety)
- Minimum 14 years of experience in Safety-related functions
- Experience in inspection, compliance, and follow-up actions in Railway or Metro systems
Deputy General Manager (SSM)
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 14 years of experience in Permanent Way, track maintenance, or civil construction in Railways or Metro systems
Deputy General Manager (AFC / Tele)
- Minimum 14 years of experience in Railways / Metro Rail / Signalling or Telecom systems
- At least 5 years of senior-level experience in maintenance of signalling or telecommunication assets
Deputy General Manager (Stores)
- Minimum 14 years of experience in stores, inventory management, procurement, and tendering
- Experience with digital procurement platforms such as GeM is required
Deputy General Manager (P-Way)
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 14 years of experience in Permanent Way maintenance or construction in Railway or Metro systems
BMRCL Age Limit (as on 20 December 2025)
- General Manager (Contract): Maximum 55 years
- General Manager (Deputation): Maximum 56 years
- All Deputy General Manager Posts: Maximum 48 years
